A POLICE investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in a flat in Greenock.
The grim discovery was made within a property in South Street.
Police say they are treating the death of the 51-year-old man as 'unexplained' as enquiries continue.
The grim find was made late on Tuesday afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Mark Gilmour of Greenock CID said: "Enquiries are ongoing into the death of a 51-year-old man who was found within a flat in South Street yesterday afternoon at about 3pm.
"It is being treated as unexplained at the moment and enquiries are ongoing."
