A NEW tennis ace has been appointed to inspire the next generation of Andy Murrays in Inverclyde.
Ross Patrick is the new head coach and development officer for the Ardgowan and Fort Matilda clubs.
The news comes after the departure of current head coach Calum Roberts who is continuing his studies at university.
Ross said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity.
“I will be working hard to increase participation and enjoyment in the sport.
“Our recent Easter holidays tennis camps have proved very popular and busier than in previous years and there is no doubt that the ‘Murray’ effect is working here with lots of interest in tennis especially amongst the young and, who knows, we might find another Andy Murray coming from Inverclyde in the years to come."
