MORTON manager Jim Duffy has been announced as one of four nominees for the 2016/17 PFA Scotland Manager of the Year award.
The 58-year-old has won plaudits this season after steering his side to a fourth-place finish in this season’s Championship, qualifying for the Premiership promotion play-offs with two games to spare.
He also took Ton to their first national semi-final at Hampden since 1979.
Those achievements have now been recognised by his fellow professionals, seeing him shortlisted alongside three Premiership bosses.
Duffy will be up against Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers, former Ton midfielder Derek McInnes of Aberdeen, and Partick Thistle’s Alan Archibald.
News of the manager's nomination follows hot on the heels of midfielder Ross Forbes being shortlisted for the Championship Player of the Year prize.
The awards will be handed out at a bash in Glasgow on Sunday.
