THESE ladies brushed up on their artistic side and showed off their skills at an event in the carers centre.
Members gathered to do some glass painting while displaying lavender sachets, knitting and homemade cards.
Irene Pollard, chair of the Carers’ Council, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, said: “This display is to show that carers can have a life beyond caring.”
Carer Edith Campbell makes a host of tartan items under the name of Scottish Crafts and also knitting.
She said: “I am looking after my husband Dougal and this is my therapy. It’s something to do when he is resting up.
“It’s good for your head and takes the weight off a bit.”
The craft event was held as part of Carers’ Week.
