A MAN was stabbed during a fight that started in a Greenock town centre store car park.
The brawl involving a large number of men and women began in the B&M car park in Inverkip Street at 5.20pm, and spilled over into nearby streets.
A 46-year-old Greenock man was stabbed in the shoulder, and taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
One man has been arrested and charged with possession of an offensive weapon — a broken glass bottle — and breach of the peace.
Detective Constable Brian Connelly said: “It appears that all of those involved were known to each other.
“A lot of people would have seen this happening, so we would like to hear from witnesses.”
