Greenock businessman Douglas Rae to step down from Golden Casket
MILLIONS entrepreneur Douglas Rae is to step down as head of his Greenock-based sweetie company.
Mr Rae will next week hand over the reins of Golden Casket Group, which owns brands such as Millions, Buchanan’s and One Pounders, to son Crawford.
The Greenock businessman, who also owns Morton, has been at the helm of his Fort Matilda confectionery empire for nearly 60 years since establishing it in 1959.
His son Crawford will take over as managing director at a ceremony at the factory on Wednesday.
