MOTORISTS heading from Port Glasgow to Greenock along the A8 have been contending with lengthy delays.
Traffic Scotland identified the problem as gully/ironwork repairs being carried out.
It started at 9.30am and is due to carry on until 3.30pm this afternoon.
The repairs are being conducted from the Port Glasgow western roundabout to Bogston Lane, and from Sinclair Street to Cartsdyke roundabout.
One motorist said: “The work caused a very long queue of traffic back towards Port Glasgow.”
