A DANCE queen from Greenock is in dreamland after achieving her ambition to set up her very own studio.
Lauren Hair, who reached the final of Sky One's Got To Dance competition in 2011, is thrilled to have set up her own academy in the heart of the town centre.
It was during her journey on the TV talent show that Lauren first told the Tele about her dream of passing on her skills and expertise.
Now six years on and at the age of just 23, Lauren has launched Parkview Studios on Duff Street, just off Cathcart Street.
With the help of her aunt Liz McTaggart, mum Christine and sister Kerri, they have given the former DVLA office a new lease of life after lying empty for several years.
Lauren said: "I found my memory box of old Tele cuttings from Got to Dance and that's when I first mentioned how I wanted to have a studio in Greenock and lots of different teachers.
"It was a mess when we came in at first and it's taken us a while to get here but I realised it was a gem and now it's great.
"From the outside it doesn't look like much but there's lots of space inside."
Parkview boasts three studios, six smaller suites, a kitchen, shower room, changing facilities and views of Wellpark and Victoria Tower.
Lauren's sister Kerri works there full-time and helps run the Pointe Perfect dance school, which had three youngsters when it started two years ago and now boasts over 70 members.
There are also guest teachers specialising in various styles such as ballet and hip-hop and the studio hosts trampoline-based Booty Bounce and 'Clubbercise' fitness classes several times a week.
An open day will take place on Saturday from 9.15 until 4pm featuring free taster sessions of the classes plus face painting and competitions to win free passes and lessons.
Lauren said: "It's a way of showing everyone what the studio looks like and I'm looking forward to welcoming people in."
