A GOUROCK mum proved she is Still Game – after meeting the stars of the hit BBC show.

Allison Black was walking her dog in Skelmorlie earlier this week when she spotted the famous faces.

The community campaigner then went on to play a prank on the director worthy of Jack and Victor.

She said: “I asked the director what they were doing and he said ‘we’re filming the new series of Still Game’.

“I gave this blank expression and he said, ‘It’s a TV programme, have you heard of it?

“I said no and he looked at me as if to say are you for real? I did then admit to being a big fan.”

Allison said it was a surreal experience stumbling across Jack, actor Ford Kiernan, Victor, played by Greg Hemphill, Navid, pictured inset, played by actor Sanjeev Kohli and Winston, aka Paul Riley, in the the wilds of Skelmorlie.

Allison, 53, of Kirn Drive, said: “I asked if I could take a picture and the director said they were a bit busy with filming, so I stopped and watched for a while.

Then 10 minutes later Jack came over and put his arms around me, then Victor and Winston joined us.

“Greg offered to take a selfie because he had long arms but the cast’s chauffeur came over and took our picture.

“They were absolutely brand new, lovely guys. I said ‘you’re a long way from Craiglang’ and they just laughed.

“They asked what I was doing and I told them I walk my dogs down here and they said, ‘I bet you didn’t expect to to see us!’

“One of the cast members said they thought my wind-up with the director was just brilliant.

“I love the show so it was a nice surprise.

“I even stole a cheeky wee kiss from Jack.”

She also told Ford and Greg that she walks her dogs at the reservoir with two friends every day who are ‘the real Jack and Victor’.

Allison quipped: “I’l keep their names to myself, I’m nearly 54 but I can say now I’m Still Game.”

The new series will be being screened on BBC1 in November.
