A CELEBRATION of pop icon David Bowie takes place in Greenock on Friday night.
Critically-acclaimed London-based tribute band David Live will play The Albany at 8pm tomorrow.
They will pay homage to the legendary award-winning singer, songwriter and actor, who died in January last year.
Frontman Charlie Fowler said: "I've been a big fan of Bowie's all my life.
"We really focus on the music and like to do some deeper, album cuts - we want to appeal to the real, hardcore Bowie fans.
"We've never performed in Greenock before but I've looked online at The Albany and it's a lovely theatre and looks really beautiful.
"It beats your average tribute club - it's really cool.
"The staff have been really good to us and we're all very much looking forward to it."
A small number of tickets are still available online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/thealbany or by calling the Orangefield venue on 866100.
