TRANSPORT police have launched a search to trace a man who witnessed an assault which occurred on a train between Glasgow and Gourock.
The incident happened sometime between 11.50pm and 12.05am on Tuesday November 14.
The man intervened in the incident, placing himself in danger to prevent the assault from escalating.
Two men have been identified in relation to the assault and officers now want to trace the man who intervened.
A BTP spokesperson said: "If you witnessed what happened or have any information please contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 234 22/11/2017."
