A GREENOCK man has been robbed by three thugs in his own flat.
The 47-year-old was confronted by the men after answering the door in Dempster Street at around 4.15pm yesterday.
They demanded he hand over property then forced their way inside his flat and assaulted him.
He was taken to hospital and has a suspected broken hand.
Greenock CID are now looking for the men responsible for the robbery.
Detective Inspector David Wagstaff is appealing for witnesses who may have spotted them running from the scene, near the former Highlanders' Academy school.
DI Wagstaff said: "They were last seen running from the street. We are looking for anybody who may witnessed three males in their early 20s running from the scene or may have heard anything. There may have been a vehicle involved."
