A HOMELESS centre in Greenock was evacuated when a blaze broke out inside the building.
Residents and staff from the Inverclyde Centre on Dalrymple Street had to leave when a small fire started in a kitchen on Saturday morning.
The fire service told the Tele they were alerted at 10.40am, with four engines sent to the scene.
Police were also in attendance.
The flames were quickly extinguished and nobody was injured as a result of the blaze.
