A MISSING teenage girl from Greenock has been found safe and reunited with her family.

Fifteen-year-old Maryann Crumlish from Corlic Street, was traced to an address in Gourock.

Police tracked her down at 8.30pm last night after three days of searching.

Her frantic family had made desperate appeals on social media for her to come home as police grew increasingly concerned for her.

Last night they sent out a message of thanks to everyone who had helped them get her home safely.

The teenager was last seen on Friday at around 7pm when she left her house.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “She was found in Gourock last night at around 8.30pm.”

The teenager had failed to return home after leaving her house to go out with friends and her family had no contact with her since.

Local police put out an appeal saying they were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Officers launched a full scale search, checking CCTV and speaking to those that knew Maryann in a bid to trace her.

They released a photo of the brown-haired, slimly built teenager as they attempted to locate her.

Greenock police confirmed yesterday to the Telegraph that they believed she was in the Inverclyde area.

There were also sighting of her on public transport.
Sergeant Chris McKay,  of Greenock police, said at the time that Maryann had ‘gone missing before’.

Her family have been flooded with message of support from relieved family and friends since Maryann returned.
