MCGILL'S have resumed bus services in Inverclyde but trains and some ferries remain suspended.

Some bus routes are operational again, listed below, after nearly two days of cancellations due to the heavy snow fall.

ScotRail also began testing trains on the Gourock line - but the company confirmed at around 12.30pm on Friday that all local services have been cancelled for the rest of the day.

A McGill's spokesperson said: "Some of the Inverclyde services are now operating, including the 901/906, 531, 532, 533 with diversions.

"Please note these are the only services in Inverclyde operating and the rest will remain suspended until further notice."

Greenock Telegraph: Meanwhile, ScotRail posted a video of a trial run between Port Glasgow and Gourock as the company tried to get the trains up and running again.

On the ferries, the adverse weather has affected the Gourock to Dunoon town centres route, which is off for the rest of Friday, and the Kilcreggan Ferry is suspended but is being reviewed throughout the day.

The Western Ferries service between McInroy's Point and Hunters Quay is also off but will be re-examined at regular intervals.

There has been no disruption reported on the CalMac Wemyss Bay to Rothesay route, although the sailing does have a 'be aware' warning meaning it could be cancelled or delayed at short notice depending on weather conditions.
