A CRACKING Easter fete was held at a Greenock school.

Parents and pupils at All Saints Primary pulled out all the stops to make the event a real 'eggs-travaganza'.

Lots of stalls were set up offering plenty of goodies and several local businesses also had tables at the event.

Vicky Fitzharris, who is the chair of the school's parent council, which organised the event, said it raised over £1,000 which will directly benefit the children.

Vicky said: "It was a really good day, as over 100 people came along.

"We raised £1,133 which will be used to provide more opportunities for the kids, such as being able to go on school trips."

Vicky said she was overwhelmed by the support shown by the school and the wider community.

She added: "The kids organised a 'come as you please day' before the event where they brought in loads of raffle prizes for the fete.

"A lot of Greenock businesses also donated vouchers which we were very grateful for.

"We want to thank everyone for their support."
