CRAFTY primary pupils enjoyed an art attack at a free event event in Greenock.

Local creative charity RIG Arts hosted an afternoon of activities and workshops for St Patrick's P4 boys and girls.

The day was part of The Broomhill Project, which explores the area's past as it is transformed by a multi-million regeneration programme.

The event took place at the Broomhill Community Hub with local residents and students from Notre Dame High also taking part.

There were free 'upcycling' masterclasses, the unveiling of fabrics made for the centre by locals and the chance to view artwork created by pupils.

It marked the end of a series of classes at the Broomhill Court Art Flat in recent months.

Laurie Duffy, project worker at RIG Arts, said: "It was nice to to have the pupils from St Patrick's Primary, who had taken part in the project, down to do some of the crafts and workshops.

"It was also fantastic to have the pupils from Notre Dame High along to showcase the acoustic panel covers they made for the Broomhill Community Hub

"It was a fantastic day and a great way to round off tour project."

The drop-in event also featured workshops on how to make keyrings and bracelets out of drinks can ring-pulls with artist Amelia Rowe.

Steph Davidson demonstrated how to printing Easter designs onto bags and there were Easter Bunny tag and card-making with Susan McInnes, while Laurie ran 3D pen sessions with the pupils.
