KIDS were in safe hands at a goalkeeping camp where they improved their skills with the help of Morton shot-stopper Conor Brennan.

The Ton custodian was on hand to coach 19 kids at the BeNumber 1 Coaching camp at Battery Park before answering questions from the enthusiastic youngsters.

Conor says he was impressed with the standard of the young keepers who attended the camp.

He said: "It reminds me of when I was younger and always wanting to learn and get better as a goalkeeper.

"It was good to see so many kids with smiles on their faces and taking information on board.”

Also there to coach the kids and offer advice were James Barbour and Colin Wooff from Greenock.

David Scott, director of BeNumber 1 Coaching, who organised the camp, told the Tele: "We love hosting these unique camps for the kids.

"The focus is always goalkeeping but the main aspect for us is ensuring the kids have fun, which they always do.

"Conor was excellent with the kids, they loved learning about his professional experiences."

Two prize winners were picked on the day to receive a pair of gloves signed by Conor with all the participants also given a certificate of attendance.

Organiser David has thanked everyone who came along, plus sponsors Ferguson Marine.

He added: "Bookings for our summer camp on Friday June 29 are coming in fast.”
