FILMING for a major network TV drama starring Scottish actors John Hannah and Kelly Macdonald has resumed in Inverclyde.

Cast and crew involved in new BBC One drama 'The Victim' are back in town shooting scenes for the show, which is being made by STV Productions.

They were spotted at various locations in Greenock, including next to Victoria Bowling Club in the east end and Macdougall Street, on Tuesday.

Filming also took place at The Kempock Bar in Gourock yesterday.

The area has been used extensively for the show in recent months.

Cameras initially started rolling in March at a house in Firth Crescent, although the street and surrounding roads were renamed.

Cast and crew spent several days there, travelling to and from the set from a base in the grounds of Cardwell Garden Centre.

Filming also took place at Whinhill Primary in Greenock, which was rebranded 'Lyle Hill Primary School'.

The mini-series will feature four 60-minute episodes, which will be shown across the UK on BBC One.

The show is set in Edinburgh and Greenock and is described as a 'gripping, contemporary legal thriller'.

The cast includes John Hannah, from films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral and The Mummy, and Trainspotting and Boardwalk Empire' actress Kelly Macdonald, plus Scottish rising star James Harkness, who has featured in Star Wars film Rogue One.

Producers have yet to announce when the show will be aired.
