A MAN was taken to hospital following a house fire in Greenock last night.
Fire crews rushed to the scene following reports of a blaze in a ground floor flat in Prospecthill View around 8.50pm.
There were two people inside and one was taken to Inverclyde Royal.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “There were two casualties reported.
“When we arrived at the scene they were both outside.
“One was transported to hospital by ambulance.”
Four engines, from Greenock and Port Glasgow, attended the incident in the four storey block.
