A ROBBERY accused man has appeared in court charged with holding up a takeaway food delivery driver at knifepoint.
Christopher Rodgers is said to have seized and pulled the man whilst making demands for money on Greenock's Westmorland Road.
Prosecutors say that Rodgers, 34, 'brandished a knife or similar instrument', made threats of violence and robbed the man of cash.
It is further claimed that he attempted to rob him of a set of car keys.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place on Monday.
Rodgers, of Wellpark Buildings, Greenock, made no plea through lawyer Aidan Gallagher during a private hearing at the town's sheriff court yesterday.
Sheriff Daniel Kelly remanded him in custody.
The case is due to call again next week.
