A GREENOCK mum who opened her heart about the loss of her baby son is helping thousands of people all over the world.

Since inspirational mum Marion Morrison posted a film about her grief it has had been shared nearly 7,000 times.

Now she is working with one of the world's best life coaches to inspire her own community and empower women.

Marion, who has three children, was left devastated when her son was born premature and lost his battle to survive weeks later.

She told the Tele: "I feel like I was in prison for ten years until I posted my feelings and broke free.

"I was in a prison of grief.

"I had no idea I was in labour.

"I went to the hospital myself. My husband was at home with our daughter Reese.

"My son Isaiah was born at 25 weeks.

"He lived for a month.

"You hope everything will be fine.

"Then he died in my arms."

Marion lost her son Isaiah in August 2007.

As she marked ten years since his tragic death she decided to go live with a film on Facebook to talk through her feelings.

Marion, 37, who lives in Greenock with her husband Grant and has three children Reese, 12, Calvin, eight, and Mya, seven, said: "I wanted to share my feelings, my experiences. "It was raw and it was honest.

"It was the right time.

"The response I have had is overwhelming.

"There was one mum who contacted me and she wanted to take her own life.

"It breaks your heart.

"But I wanted to share."

Marion has a strong American accent, having grown up in the States, but her mum is from Gibshill and her dad comes from Greenock as well.

Marion, who was born in Greenock, and returned home in her early 20s.

She said: "My dad was in the Navy and we ended up in the States.

"I lived in Virginia, California and Michigan.

"I ended up getting a basketball scholarship to the Cal State University in California and I came back to Gibshill to look after my gran when she had dementia.

"Then I met and married Grant and I stayed.

"I speak with an American accent but I throw people when I say I am Marion from Gibshill.

"I love Inverclyde.

"It is the most amazing place in the world."

Marion set up an Active Parenting page on Facebook to help parents and she has members from all over the country.

Through this she has offered her services as a community coach, helping a group of local women.

Her daughter Mya has diabetes and her son Calvin has had kidney problems and she uses the online page to share her journey as a mum.

Marion added: "Wherever I am in the world I want to build a community and give back.

"I want to serve."

Since taking the plunge and setting up her own life coach business last year she has netted clients from places as far away as Peru.

Marion is inspired by the work of Jason Goldberg, an American life coach and best selling author.

She now works closely with him and runs her own life coaching programme.

Marion added: "It is about self-leadership and positivity.

"I never say I have to or I need to, I say I want to.

"I am about giving people confidence.

"Doing this feels like joy."
