NEW firms are set to move into enterprise units which have just opened in Port Glasgow.

Regeneration body Riverside Inverclyde has fitted out the last remaining units at Kelburn Business Park.

They say new tenants are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Chief executive Fiona Maguire said: “RI’s investment into providing high quality business premises continues to be our main strategy to drive economic growth for Inverclyde.

“This further significant investment into Kelburn Business Park has been developed with the specific aim to support further job creation and entice new businesses into the area.”

Built in 2015, the park offers office and light industrial accommodation across four blocks.

Block B was previously fitted out in 2016 to include office, toilet and kitchen space and is fully occupied.

In October 2017, Riverside Inverclyde appointed Helensburgh based builders Stewart and Shields to complete further fit out works on blocks C and D.

This included the subdivision of the two blocks, with the addition of first floor mezzanine storage in two units in Block C.

All of the units offer heating, office, kitchen, toilet and storage space.

Andrew Bowman, who is the head of business investment at Riverside Inverclyde, said: “The high-standard of these works and flexibility of the units has been really well received by the market and we continue to see a rise in interest in Inverclyde as a location for business.

“With competitive prices and incentives available for businesses, superb facilities, excellent road, ocean and train connectivity and the close proximity to Glasgow Airport, it’s easy to understand why more businesses are keen to relocate or expand into Inverclyde.”
