LADIES lavished lots of love on Ardgowan Hospice as they raised a record breaking £25,000 from a ladies' day event.
The red carpet was rolled out at Inverkip Marina for one of the highlights of the hospice calendar.
Thanks to the generosity of the guests, a record breaking £25,562 was raised.
Hospice chief executive Linda McEnhill says it was a special day.
She said: “This is event is blessed with fantastic support from so many wonderful ladies and businesses from all over Inverclyde.
"I speak for everyone at Ardgowan Hospice when I say a huge thank-you for their support.
"The £25,562 raised could fund 42 nights of specialist in-patient care and support for a patient diagnosed with a life limiting illness.
"It is days like these that really show the generosity and kindness of the people of Inverclyde and their commitment to supporting their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. "A tremendous effort by all and a fantastic day.”
The event, sponsored by VA Business Solutions, featured a live auction, raffle, games and tombola, with top prizes including a pair VIP tickets to see Justin Timberlake at The Hydro donated by McTear’s Auctioneers.
Guests were entertained all day by Edward Reid, of Britain’s Got Talent fame and were able to browse the market stalls provided by Sovereign Jewellers and Treasured and have a selfie mirror-photo taken by Events with Love before taking their seats for a delicious lunch.
The party atmosphere continued with a set from local DJ Raymondo who kept the Ladies dancing until the early evening.
