TRAINS between Glasgow Central, Gourock and Wemyss Bay are disrupted due a fault with the signalling system.
Some services have had to be cancelled due to a points failure.
Problems are expected to continue over the next few hours, including through rush-hour.
Bosses at ScotRail say services on the Gourock line are reduced to half hourly and trains to and from Wemyss Bay are 'delayed and may be revised'.
ScotRail said: "Due to a fault with the signalling system between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street, disruption is expected until 7pm."
The company has apologised for the disruption.
Network Rail are working to fix the problem.
