LOCALS are raising a glass to a tasty new product offering the ultimate guide to everything food and drink in Inverclyde.

Taste Inverclyde is a A5 56-page glossy magazine produced by the Tele team in partnership with Riverside Inverclyde, offering readers a comprehensive tour of the area's eateries.

As well as interviews with top chefs and handy culinary hints and tips, it features a listings section and fantastic map to help every reader find something that tantalises their tastebuds.

Andrew Bowman, Riverside Inverclyde's head of business investment and operations, said the guide was a 'must read' for all food lovers.

He said: “Taste Inverclyde continues to deliver a wide range of projects to support Inverclyde’s food and drink businesses and the launch of this guide is a major achievement.

“The guide will be available as a keep-at-home brochure and online and we hope it helps to showcase the fantastic range available in Inverclyde to residents and visitors.

“We’d like to thank all of the businesses that supported the guide and The Greenock Telegraph for their invaluable expertise.

“We look forward to continuing to work together in the future to further showcase Inverclyde’s food and drink sector.”

Telegraph editor Brian Hossack said: "It was a pleasure bringing our expertise to the product and this is the ultimate guide on what Inverclyde has to bring to the ever-expanding food and drink sector.

"We have so much to offer and it is all in the Taste Inverclyde guide.

"As well as being great for locals, it will also be an invaluable guide to tourists coming off the cruise liners and shows off perfectly all we have to offer."

Tele advertising manager Jolene McGhee, pictured showing off the guide with Andrew, said: "We loved working with Andrew and the businesses involved. It really is a great way for people to stay up to date on all things culinary in Inverclyde."

The guide, which is being distributed this week, will be available to pick up FREE from the Telegraph office, Ocean Terminal, the Beacon Arts Centre and all of the eateries involved.
