AN aspiring actor from Greenock is expanding his repertoire into the music world.

Blair MacAldowie appears in a pop video for Glasgow band Honeyvale's single Fire We Breathe.

This comes only weeks after the 11-year-old landed his first feature film role in Mike, Michael and Me, a short film produced by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland about a broken family.

Blair, who lives with his mum Debbie and brother Kerr, 15, in Gateside Gardens, clinched the part in the video through his agents KR Management.

Debbie, 44, who works at the Royal Bank of Scotland Mortgage Centre, said: "He loved it because is was something different that he's never done before.

"He had a great day filming it East Kilbride with two band members and Marc McStay of Momentum Media, who filmed it.

"They were really lovely guys and he had a good rapport with them."

Debbie and Blair's dad Keith are very supportive of his career.

The youngster has been acting since he was only eight and has performed on stage many times.

He is also a member Inverclyde Musical Youth Theatre, Clyde Youth Theatre and Vivace Theatre School in Glasgow, where he recently starred in their production of The Greatest Showman called This is Me.

He also features in their next production Shrek the Musical in November.
