TERRACE TALK: Fan's view
Give credit where due
MANY Morton supporters, myself included, have given the team a lot of criticism after the Motherwell cup tie and therefore it's only fair we give credit for the results achieved since then.
Three games undefeated and only one goal conceded in that period has shown us that the team are together and certainly has gone a way towards eliminating that dismal day from our minds.
At Hamilton last Tuesday, the boys played some lovely football and thoroughly deserved their win, although I thought we were were extremely fortunate at Firhill on Saturday to escape with a point.
Colin Stewart single-handedly kept us in the game in the first half although the team did perform much better in the second period.
We now have the trip to Dingwall tonight which will be a major test, and a positive result will go a long way towards convincing us that we can compete at the top of the league rather than the bottom.
A good result will also make for a pleasant journey home for the 20 or so Morton fans making the trip up north in the middle of winter.
Once again the SFL have let us down by making Morton travel up on a midweek night when common sense would tell them to reschedule for later in the season.
