SCHOOLGIRLS were ‘bowled over’ after taking part in cricket lessons.
The taster sessions were provided for all S1 to S3 pupils at St Columba’s High School in Gourock.
Organised by Inverclyde Cricket Club and Rosie Ryan, the west region women’s and girls cricket development officer, the sessions were designed to enhance girls’ participation in the sport.
The community sports hub will now run a girls’ cricket club after school from Wednesday February 15.
