FIRE crews rushed to Gourock’s Cafe Continental late last night after a fridge unit caught fire shortly before 11pm.
Two fire crews from Gourock and one from Greenock attended the incident at the Kempock Street premises, with the flames being put out with the use of dry powder extinguishers.
Electrical power to the premises was also isolated before firefighters were stood down at 1am.
The fridge was placed outside the cafe, inset, which is expected to be open for business as usual today.
