INVERCLYDE’S leading dementia charity was bowled over after receiving a kind-hearted donation from a local club.
Gourock Bowling Club’s ladies organised a charity match in aid of Alzheimer Scotland’s Inverclyde branch.
They invited other clubs to take part in the event and, thanks to a raffle and entry fee, raised £470.
Through the support of local people the branch runs a resource centre and a number of services to help people with dementia and their families.
Gourock Bowling Club president Ann Freel said: “It was a great day and we were well supported.”
