BRIGHT yellow Minions are set to invade Cardwell Garden Centre this weekend.

The characters, which feature in the new movie Despicable Me 3, will be at the centre on Saturday and Sunday.

As part of the event, children can enjoy a Minion hunt and will also have the chance to make Minion hats and balloons.

There will also be facepainting and a bouncy castle.
Paul Carmichael, Cardwell’s retail general manager, hopes lots of youngsters will come along.

He said: “I reckon the new Minion movie is going to be a massive hit this summer and we’re giving kids the chance to have even more Minion fun at Cardwell this weekend.”

Siblings Michael and Madeleine Glancy bumped into some Minions who were at the garden centre ahead of the event.

The youngsters had come all the way from Norway to visit their aunt Caroline White, from Gourock and they got the Minions to help them water some plants at the garden centre.

Kids are invited to the event on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
