PARISHIONERS at St John’s Church in Gourock have been renovating the outside railings as part of a project to maintain the church grounds.
The church, on Bath Street, is keen to thank the Wood Group for their kind donation of specialised paint to help them complete the essential maintenance.
Donald Crawford, fabric convener at the parish, says that the volunteers involved in the project feel a great sense of worth in assisting.
He said: “It’s something that we are glad to do as we all feel a duty to keep the place in good shape.
“We’re hoping that people see what we’re doing and it inspires them to participate in an act of kindness too.”
