NEW apartments which will be built on land beside Gourock Golf Course will go on sale today.

The forthcoming £1.25m development at Cowal Court contains 16 two-bedroom flats in three blocks, with building work now under way.

Developers Laurel Homes are hosting a sales launch today.

Cowal Court will be laid out in a cul-de-sac with a new road leading into it off Cowal View.

A statement said: “Cowal Court enjoys an exclusive, elevated position offering spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde, Holy Loch and Loch Long.

“The development of only 16, two-bedroom apartments has been designed to celebrate the view and create a light, contemporary space.

“The event will offer the first look at the site plan, apartment layouts, specification and pricing information.”

Permission for the new flats was given by Inverclyde Council last summer.

The green light was given in the wake of revised plans submitted for the development, after permission had earlier been granted for 15 flats at the site.

Planners were happy with the overall scale of the development, its design, layout and landscaping, describing it as a ‘spacious residential environment compatible with the scale and amenity of this part of Gourock’.

Two of the blocks will have six flats and one will have four, with each property benefitting from a balcony.

A total of 34 parking spaces will be included in the development.

Laurel Homes will host the sales launch at the golf club today from 11am to 5pm.
