A CAR crashed into other vehicles after the driver suddenly became unwell at the wheel.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon in Gourock’s Shore Street and also involved a bus and another car.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident, which happened just before 3pm, and the road was closed between King Street and Church Street.
Inspector Julie MacDonald of Greenock police said: “The male driver of a car took unwell at the wheel and it collided with a couple of vehicles.
“A bus and a car were involved.
“The driver who was unwell was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital where he was treated for a medical condition.
“It is not believed to be life threatening.”
