ASPIRING entrepreneurs from a Gourock high school are in the running for a top national award for their quirky 3D jigsaws.
Pupils from the ‘Let’s Do A Jig’ group at St Columba’s are up for a Young Enterprise Scotland company of the year honour for their creations.
They are one of 17 schools shortlisted for the Peroosh People’s Choice Award prize in recognition of their 3D jigsaws inspired by local and national icons.
The final piece of the puzzle is a public poll and the pupils are appealing to people across Inverclyde to vote for them online.
Team member Rachel Robertson said: “The number of votes we get from the public will really help towards our overall success at the finals.”
Councillor Jim Clocherty, pictured, is lending his support and was impressed by the jigsaws, which the pupils design and sell.
The voting deadline is 3pm tomorrow. For more information visit yes.org.uk/competitions/festival-of-enterprise-2018
