THE spirit of generosity was alive and well at Mount Kirk’s recent fete – with organisers raising almost £900.
Visitors snapped up some seasonal crafts and tucked into home baking while youngsters enjoyed fun and games.
Minister Reverend Francis Murphy said: “We raised £880 which is a terrific amount and will help towards the church’s work.
“The fete was well attended, with lots of youngsters coming along with their parents.
“The church is like a big family as we are a close-knit congregation, but we are also open in the sense that we are a parish church.”
