THESE riveted readers enjoyed an author’s visit to their school as part of World Book Day.
Writer Keith Charters, known for his popular Lee series, went along to King’s Oak Primary to read passages from his books and give tips to pupils.
The school got a grant through the First Minister’s Reading Challenge, and inviting an author along formed part of the project.
Primary seven teacher Janice Bowes said: “Keith read parts from his books and gave tips on writing. We have various pupil voice groups in the school, and our group is to encourage reading for pleasure and this linked in well with the author’s visit.”
