A DELIVERY driver suffered a fractured elbow after being hit with a baseball bat while dropping off parcels to a house in Greenock.
The 34-year-old courier was set upon by a man in Larkfield’s Oxford Road at around 11.30am on Monday.
He was approached by the male suspect and became involved in an argument after before being attacked after dropping off goods to a neighbour’s house.
Detectives say he was hit with a bat or similar weapon and suffered a fracture to his left elbow after putting his arm up to protect himself. The victim was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment. The attacker fled in a car.
