GREENOCK runner Sue Hewitson conquered the toughest of terrain to finish the fastest woman in a charity ‘Bog Stomp’.
The Glenpark Harrier took part in Clyde Muirshiel’s 10k charity event in aid of the war veterans.
She started at the Greenock Cut Visitors Centre and made her way up Dunrod Hill, through bog and mud to finish in 54 minutes and 54 seconds.
Nearly 100 people signed up for the second Big Stomp, which was in aid of the Erskine Home Veterans.
A group of runners from Hong Kong even turned up at the Greenock Cut on the day to take part.
They were on holiday and decided to take part to experience the Scottish hills first hand.
