A TOP sports broadcaster visited Greenock to lend support to young men and women looking for work.
TV and radio presenter Eilidh Barbour, who fronts coverage for BT Sport and the BBC, attended a session of the Street League Inverclyde programme at Lady Octavia Sports Centre last week.
The scheme uses football as an incentive to help local, unemployed young people in their late teens and early 20s into work, further education or training.
Afterwards, the TV personality said: “Fun visit to Street League to see first hand the great work they do.”
Participants combine playing football to keep fit and healthy with classes at nearby Auchmountain Resource Centre covering the likes of CV writing, interview preparation and work placements.
Chris Caldwell, operations manager for Street League in Inverclyde and Renfrewshire, said: “Thanks to Eilidh Barbour of BT Sport and BBC Sport for visiting our Street League Inverclyde programme."
