GREENOCK Camera Club opens its shutters again for the new season tonight.
President Campbell Skinner is inviting anyone interested in photography to go along.
He said: “It doesn’t matter if you are at the beginning of your photographic journey and just want to learn from others, or a keen photographer who enjoys the more competitive element of club competitions.
“The club welcomes photographers of all standards.
“Members gain a better understanding of how their cameras work, learn about composition and light and how to use photo editing software to improve their pictures. Whether you’re using a phone camera, entry level compact or DSLR camera, everyone can learn something at the club.”
Members get the chance to see and review photographs on most nights and enjoy visits from lecturers who give an insight into their photography.
The club also runs competitions and a weekend club when members can meet up and go out to take pictures and share skills.
The club has a new venue this season, meeting at Greenock Golf Club, 106 Forsyth Street, at 7.30pm.
