A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Nelson Street on Tuesday.
It would appear that the man suffered minor injuries.
He was treated in the road by ambulance staff before they alerted police at around 9.20am.
Sergeant Kayley Teasdale, of Greenock police, said: “The cyclist looks to have had minor injuries and was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
“The driver has been charged with careless driving and issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
