A GREENOCK nursery handed over plenty of toys to fill Santa’s sack and help children in Inverclyde this Christmas.

Enchanted Forest staff and parents donated more than 50 presents to the Children in Poverty Inverclyde toy appeal.

The youngsters even helped wrap the gifts which will go to families in Inverclyde.

Charity chairman Pat Burke said: “I would like to thank nursery manager Jennifer Marshall who organised the appeal, all the parents for their generosity and the children who gift wrapped the presents.

“We appreciated also the warm welcome afforded to us by all nursery staff.”

Enchanted Forest Nursery in Inverkip is also organising a toy collection.

Kind-hearted Enchanted Forest Nursery owners Bernie and Mariessa Devlin are also organising a raffle for the charity.

It will take place at their Christmas shopping event in their One Cove Road cafe.

Pat added: “We are indebted to directors Mariessa and Bernard for their compassion in making Christmas a brighter place for many Inverclyde children.”
