ALL Saints Primary enjoyed a teacher swap to celebrate World Book Day.
The popular school event was originally cancelled due to the heavy snowfall that hit Inverclyde.
But the pupils’ enthusiasm was not to be dampened at the second attempt as they turned up as their favourite characters from comics and books.
As a special treat they were given the chance to have a story read to them by another teacher.
Primary six teacher Elizabeth Deafley was delighted to move downstairs to get involved with the primary one pupils.
She said: “It was a treat and I absolutely loved it. They all looked great and their costumes were brilliant.”
Student teacher Gemma McLean had the chance to take a break and enjoy a good read with the rest of the class.
When the bell sounded all the teachers started making their way to a different class to read a book with the children.
All Saints was one of the many schools in Inverclyde taking part in World Book Day.
The international festival is a celebration of books, authors and reading.
