VANDALS daubed sectarian slogans over a Greenock football supporters' club.
The Rangers Supporters Association in Bank Street was targeted on Wednesday night and was spray-painted with several taunts on the front door and at the side of the building.
A spokesman for the club said: "We are totally disgusted at the whole situation and it's not the first time.
"This is the fifth time this has happened in three years and we have involved police a few times. It's bordering on obscene. It is a shame this happens."
Caladh House, a new care home, was also attacked by the yobs, who scribbled a similar message on the front of the building.
A club member discovered the graffiti when he arrived to open the premises just before noon yesterday.
The club spokesman added: "It's very disheartening in this day and age, with the amount of work done to try to eliminate sectarianism in football, that some people are hellbent on causing trouble."
The incident has been reported to police. Superintendent Grant Manders, of Greenock police, left, said: "Any form of malicious damage to other people's property is unlawful and socially unacceptable, and the sectarian nature of the vandalism in this case is particularly offensive to all decent people in Inverclyde.
"We will be doing our utmost to identify whoever is responsible and bring them to court, where there is every chance they could receive a custodial sentence for this type of crime."
