Drugs raid at flat

Police carried out a drugs raid at a flat in a Greenock street.

Officers were involved in the swoop at the South Street property earlier this week.

The joint police operation involved the UK Border Agency and officers from Strathclyde Police.

Police yesterday confirmed that a search of the house had uncovered a small number of cannabis plants.

Officers attended the incident at the property at around 7pm on Thursday.

Police yesterday said that a 44-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man are expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court next week in connection with the incident.
