Crash victim funeral is this week

TRAGEDY: Jayde McVicar.
ONE of the teenage victims of the tragic A78 road crash will be laid to rest on Tuesday.
Hundreds of mourners are expected to attend the funeral in Greenock's east end to pay their respects to popular teenager Jayde McVicar, below.
Her family have requested people wear bright colours at the service to celebrate her life.
Jayde, of Aberfoyle Road, and her friend, Holly Fulton, both 19, died after their car was involved in a head-on collision.
Tributes have poured in for the young women who were returning home from a trip to Ireland when they were killed after a car travelling on the wrong side of the road hit their Ford Fiesta on the A78.
Jet Gallacher, former manager of Auchmountain Resource Centre, in Greenock, used to live near the family and knew Jayde all her life.
She said: "Jayde was a gorgeous girl with an infectious smile. She could light up a room with her smile. I know her family are devastated. It's a terrible loss at a young age."
Jayde also did a work placement at the centre and got on well with everyone who knew her.
Jet said: "She was a very talented singer and appeared in Megastars and productions in the community centre.
"She got a standing ovation for her version of Don't Cry For Me Argentina — she was fantastic."
Family and colleagues of Holly have also paid warm tribute to the popular care assistant, who was planning to return to college.
Jet says her thoughts are with Jayde's family and that the whole community will go along on Tuesday to pay their respects. She said: "The church will be packed."
Jayde's funeral will take place at 12.40pm at the church in Bawhirley Road and thereafter at Knocknairshill Cemetery at 1.30pm.
Sole survivor of the crash Chantelle Skirving, of Leven Road, is recovering in hospital after losing her unborn baby.
The 18-year-old, who was driving the car, is in a serious but stable condition in Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.
The accident took place near Troon on Tuesday night. The driver of the other car, Frank Muir, 80, of Linwood, was also killed.
