STARS: The Magic Numbers.

ANOTHER top headline act has been added to the exciting entertainment bill for the Tall Ships.

Popular indie band The Magic Numbers have today been announced as one of the main headline acts that will be wowing the crowds in Greenock next month.

The popular English foursome will perform on the main stage at Inchgreen on Sunday 10 July, where they will showcase some of their new songs for the first time to a packed crowd of approximately 18,000 people.

The band will also be performing classic hits including 'Forever Lost' and 'Love Me Like You'.

Romeo Stodart, from The Magic Numbers, told the Tele: "We are so excited to be playing at The Tall Ships Races event in Greenock this year.

"We always love performing in front of a Scottish crowd and look forward to doing so with such a unique backdrop.

"We can't wait to play some of our new material to our fans."

Their addition to the bill is a major coup for the organisers of the showpiece ships event.

Ralph Leishman, vice chairman of Sail Inverclyde, said: "We are delighted to announce The Magic Numbers as the latest addition to our entertainment line up.

"The main stage at Inchgreen will also be busy across the four days showcasing local talent from throughout Scotland, finishing with an explosive fireworks show on Monday night.

"There is already a real sense of excitement for the event and visitors are encouraged to visit our website, www.tallshipsracesgreenock.com, for full information and updates on what is going to be happening, as well as information on how to get there."

The Magic Numbers concert in Greenock will be free and is just one of the musical highlights being offered across the four days the 60-plus ships are in port.

Other headline acts already confirmed include Deacon Blue, Lulu and Big Vern and the Shootahs.
