Missing teenage girl found safe

MISSING Greenock girl Melissa McMillan has been found safe and well.

Police announced within the last few minutes that she had been located in the Glasgow area.

Melissa, 16, went missing from her family home in Greenock's east end yesterday afternoon, sparking a major search.

It was later established she had caught a train from Cartsdyke to Glasgow Central.

A spokesperson for Strathclyde Police said: "Melissa has been traced safe and well in the Glasgow area.

"Members of the media and public are thanked for their assistance."
